The word of the president of the APE standing in SOLIDARITY with the LLM team
“Connecting and taking inspiration from others who share our struggle builds our power; upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all.
We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. You can’t always be demanding solidarity from others and then refuse to show it yourself.
Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of universal responsibility, not only nation to nation but also human to human. Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, to get familiarized and cope with the pivotal situation everyone is facing ! The crisis is real and must be addressed. It can only be solved with wisdom and astuteness and never with cynicism and gloom !!
We have chosen to enroll our children in this community. We strive perfection at all times, yet it’s the best time to show solidarity one to another : Our values and positions sometimes clash. There has been profound disagreement and suspicion about chosen learning techniques ; Cliques have formed and arguments have brewed. Nonetheless, we will find ways to understand each-other, to feel the interconnectedness of our struggles and move forward together. The first step in the evolution of ethics is a sense of solidarity with other human beings. Languages connect us and break down barriers when we unite to nurture the best in us and help each other succeed.
Parents know the needs of our teachers and the needs of our children go hand in hand. When teachers feel respected, supported, valued, and have proper resources, they and their students can flourish.
The APE stands in solidarity with the LLM team and precisely with the teachers in their fight to ensure that their students get the support they and their families deserve.
The reason why they need emotional support is because it’s important for fighters to be respected, appreciated & valued ; Feel free to approach them with suggestions, objectivity, express yourself without fearing criticism or harsh judgement & they will guide you with all the means they’ve got in hands !
One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.
Salute them, treasure them !
Our solidarity shape our strength !
Our compassion, tolerance & empathy mold our excellence !
Stay safe !
President of the APE”
