Students experimented science
CM1 SIB are currently working on their science unit. A challenging and complex unit where they learn about various scientists’ contributions to the field. In this week of SIB, students learnt about French scientist Antoine Lavoisier and British scientist Joseph Priestley and their collaborative discovery of oxygen.
Students then predicted how long it would take a flame to go out in a closed glass container. Experiments promote critical thinking, collaboration and analysis. The students enjoyed the experiment and are looking forward to the next one, stay tuned!
