Windrush Generation

Dans le cadre de notre travail sur l’axe « Identités et Echanges » en cours d’anglais, les élèves de Terminale A et de Terminale C ont réalisé un travail sous forme de reportage vidéo pour résumer les connaissances acquises sur le sujet.

Nous avons, dans un premier temps, étudié en classe divers documents audios et vidéos pour comprendre ce qu’était la ‘Windrush Generation’, puis nous avons discuté de la place et l’impact de la culture jamaïcaine au Royaume Uni.

Les élèves ont, par la suite, réalisé un reportage où ils devaient évoquer l’historique des relations Jamaïque – Royaume-Uni. Enfin, ils ont eu pour consigne de réaliser une interview d’un camarade qui prétendait être un Jamaïcain de 3e génération installé au Royaume Uni.

Pour chaque classe nous avons procédé à un vote pour élire les 3 meilleures vidéos.

Bendy Nehmé et Khaled Abdrabou, Talya Grizi et Linda Bellamine.
* En Terminale C: Joud Ahmad et Adnan Damouri, Dina El Nahas et Anas Benmansour, Inès Remous et Omar Damouri.
Bravo aux élèves pour s’être investis dans ce projet jusqu’à pour certains se prendre pour Bob Marley!!

As part of our work on the Identities and Exchanges topic, the students of Terminale A and Terminale C produced a video in the form of a news report to summarize the knowledge acquired on the subject. We first studied various audio and video documents in class to understand what the ‘Windrush Generation’ was, then we discussed the place and impact of Jamaican culture in the UK. The students made a video where they first had to give a short history of Jamaican-UK relationship and then had to do an interview with a classmate who pretended to be a 3rd generation Jamaican living in the UK. For each class we proceeded to a vote to elect the 3 best videos. The winners are:
