David Binan
Headteacher
David For nearly forty years, Binan has dedicated his career to the French national education system, including nearly twenty years in senior management. His career, built up both in France and internationally, demonstrates solid experience in leading schools, managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering educational projects in multicultural contexts.
After working as a teacher and then as a language and cooperation attaché in Turkey and Bulgaria, he held senior management roles at schools in France before joining the French education network abroad: at the Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou in Dubai, the Lycée Franco-Australien in Canberra and, most recently, the International French School / Lycée Français in Singapore, a major institution within the AEFE network, which is home to nearly 2,800 pupils of over 80 nationalities.
Throughout his career, he has led numerous transformation projects focusing on educational excellence, multilingualism, the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs, digital innovation, staff professional development, guidance towards higher education, as well as the management of large-scale building projects to support the development of schools. His work has also helped to enhance the international standing of French education. It is underpinned by a rigorous and humanistic vision of public education, based on trust, dialogue, collective commitment and the success of every pupil.
