Recruitment of seconded staff on AEFE contracts for the 2027–2028 academic year

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATIONS 

The information sheet for applicants and the standard application form are available in the « personnel / recruitment of seconded teaching, education and administrative staff / conditions and procedures for application » from the AEFE website.

Candidates must be permanent civil servants in the French civil service and meet the secondment requirements laid down by the AEFE and their home department.
For secondary school posts, the application must relate to the subject in which the applicant holds a permanent post. 
Staff already on secondment within the network must check their eligibility in accordance with the rules applicable to their secondment arrangements.

Applications will not be accepted in the following cases:

1. Applications submitted after the deadline and/or which are incomplete in terms of the required documents. Applications are considered incomplete if they do not include, as a minimum, the documents specified on the application form.
2. An application from a non-permanent employee of the French civil service.
3. For teaching posts, applications from civil servants who do not belong to a primary or secondary school teaching corps.
4. An application from a tenured teacher applying for a post in a subject or teaching stream other than the one in which they hold a tenured post.
5. Staff who are not permanent members of their respective grades (trainees).
6. Teachers at vocational sixth-form colleges who cannot demonstrate recent and substantial teaching experience in the subject for which the post is advertised.
7. Staff members currently on secondment who fall within the scope of the Ministry of Education’s annual circular on the recruitment and secondment of staff abroad, or whose application for the renewal of their secondment has been forwarded to their home department.
8. A candidate employed by the French Ministry of Education who has accumulated more than three years of secondment abroad following a new secondment since the start of the 2019 academic year, without having returned to active service in France for three years.
9. Staff from the Ministry of National Education alone who, following six years’ secondment abroad, have completed fewer than three years’ actual service in France as at the date the post became vacant.

Comply with the eligibility criteria and application procedures set out by the AEFE.

The DOSSIER application FULL, signed and accompanied by the required supporting documents, must be filed on the school’s website by 13 November 2025 at 12 noon at the latest, Abu Dhabi time, deadline. 

Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be processed. 

All supporting documents must be enclosed, including the Iprof screen shots. Each application must, as a minimum, include the compulsory documents listed in the AEFE’s standard application pack.

LOCAL ISSUES REQUIRING MONITORING

The school would like to draw applicants’ attention to the The standard of living is high in the United Arab Emirates, particularly when it comes to housing, where tenants may be required to pay several months’ rent in advance, or even a year’s rent. Studying at an educational institution requires a local accreditation, which requires the submission of certified and legalised qualifications. The contract is subject to the’being granted secondment.
