1. When does secondary school start?
The collège runs from 6e to 3e. It marks the start of secondary education, with mixed classes divided into two educational cycles: cycle 3 (consolidation) and cycle 4 (in-depth studies).
2. What is an educational cycle?
An educational cycle lasts 3 years. This gives pupils more time to assimilate what they have learned. At collège, pupils start with the last year of cycle 3 (6e), then continue with cycle 4 (5e to 3e).
3. How many hours of lessons do secondary school pupils have?
All students have 26 hours of compulsory teaching per week. To this can be added optional teaching according to the student's wishes and profile.
4. What optional courses are offered at the LLM college?
- Latin (if sufficient numbers enrol)
- ELCE (option for 5th, 4th and 3rd year students) - European Language and Culture: English (+2h)
5. What is the Brevet international?
Middle school students enrolled in the international section take the International Brevet Diploma.

6. Does my child have more hours of English if he/she is not in the international section?
English lessons at collège last 3 hours a week, plus a further 2 hours if you choose the ELCE option from Year 5.
