preschool in lycée louis massignon
Rated 'Very Good' by ADEK and approved by the French Ministry of Education, the French International School Lycée Louis Massignon offers its students a caring, stimulating and age-appropriate environment.
From the age of 3, in preschool, children discover a high-quality educational environment which lays the foundations for all future learning. These include language, writing, mathematics, opening up to the world and language learning. They also develop essential skills such as socialisation, motor skills, independence and cultural awareness.
Each student is supported in developing his or her personality, independence and self-confidence.
It all starts here!
our approach

A multilingual and multicultural educational project
From preschool onwards, students are taught in a multilingual and multicultural environment, open to non-French speakers.
Every day, they discover and practise French, English and Arabic through a natural immersion in classroom life: they don't just learn a language, they learn in the language.
This approach encourages the acquisition of a solid foundation, particularly in English. It is possible to join the British international section from Grade 1 (CP).
Our teaching approach, based on practical, cross-disciplinary projects, links the arts, sciences, motor skills and languages, cultivating curiosity, creativity and openness to the world.
Growing in confidence
- Experienced teachers who are attentive to the pace at which each individual progresses
- A workforce that provides individual support
- A permanent childminder in every classroom
- Regular progress monitoring, in a climate of goodwill and trust

Inclusion from preschool
At the Lycée Louis Massignon, particular attention is paid to the well-being and success of all students, including those with special educational needs.
From preschool onwards, the inclusion division and the Additional Learning Needs centre provide support for children and families thanks to a multidisciplinary team (psychomotor therapist, specialist educator, social worker, two specialist support assistants and a specialist teacher).
Recognised by the ADEK, the Additional Learning Needs centre welcomes students with special needs in a caring and inclusive environment.

A French approach to education, looking to the future
In accordance with the French curriculum, learning in preschool school is organised as follows
around five main areas :

❶ Use language in all its dimensions
→ Enriching vocabulary, telling a story, recognising letters, starting to write your first name...

❷ Act, express themselves and understand through physical activity
→ Group games, motor skills, balance, hand-eye coordination, etc.

❸ Act, express themselves and understand through artistic activities
→ Drawing and painting, singing, playing musical instruments, body expression...

❹ Build the first tools to structure your thinking
→ Counting to 10 then 20, recognising geometric shapes, comparing sizes or quantities, finding your bearings in the time of day, etc.

❺ Exploring the world
→ Observe plants and animals, discover the five senses, experiment with water and sand, locate places on a simple map...
