On 17 and 18 October, the Lycée Louis Massignon (LLM) took action for Pink October. Students, staff and parents joined forces for a cause that concerns us all: the fight against breast cancer. Participants bought their pink ribbons at sales points around the school. They wore it proudly as a symbol of their support.
A resounding success
These two days marked an exceptional show of solidarity. The students, who spearheaded the initiative, organised sales of pink ribbons throughout the school.
"We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all those who contributed to this wonderful event," said the organising team, visibly moved by the scale of the response.
Éléonore Maimaran, a pupil in Year 10 who was behind the initiative, stressed the importance of everyone getting involved: "Every gesture counts in raising awareness and providing support for women affected by this disease.
All the money raised will be donated to a charity dedicated to the fight against cancer. Everyone's contribution, however small, will make a real difference to the lives of many women.
This exceptional mobilisation once again demonstrated the strength of the LLM community. Parents, students and staff all joined forces to show solidarity.
Thank you to everyone who took part in these days of solidarity on 17 and 18 October. Your generosity will make a difference in the fight against breast cancer!
