When the Uno becomes a climate laboratory!

To celebrate returning to in-person group lessons this week, our Year 7 A and Year 7 D pupils took part in an innovative activity in Biology.
Inspired by the famous game Uno, this fun card game enabled them to discover how climates influence the distribution of flora and fauna.
By exploring the concepts of temperature and humidity, the pupils learnt to classify the major terrestrial biomes, from the Arctic tundra to the tropical rainforest.
The aim?
Learn complex scientific concepts whilst having fun, collaborate in new ways and strengthen team spirit following the period of remote working.
Well done to our pupils for their enthusiasm and the wonderful energy they’ve shown now that we’re back in class!
