An active prevention policy to promote student well-being

At the Lycée Louis Massignon, prevention is at the heart of our educational project.

Our actions, which are part of our approach to prevention, safety and the well-being of our pupils, aim to guarantee a safe, respectful environment that is conducive to the development of each individual.

Over the course of February 2026, a number of major initiatives gave concrete expression to this commitment.

pHARe programme - Combating harassment

Preventing bullying is an essential pillar of our policy to protect pupils.

As part of the pHARe programme, As part of the national anti-harassment campaign, our school has introduced a structured approach to prevention and support for pupils and families.

Interventions were carried out in classes to :

  • Presenting the scheme to students

  • Broadcast an awareness-raising video

  • Explain the steps to take in the event of a worrying situation

Parents, students, friends: if you are a victim, a witness or if you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact our pHARe team.

A report can be made:

Together, let's build a school community that is more respectful, supportive and attentive to everyone's well-being.

LLM Café - Screens: prevention for better support

On 6 February 2026, parents and members of the education community met for an LLM Café to discuss the issues surrounding screens.

Discussions focused in particular on :

  • The impact of screens on development and learning ;

  • Educational benchmarks to set at home ;

  • Practical, fun alternatives for everyday life.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Ms Caline Fattal-El Dik, speech therapist and systemic therapist, for her expertise and kind words, and to the Abu Dhabi Community Police for their active participation in the discussions.

These opportunities for dialogue illustrate our conviction that prevention and support for families is the best way to protect pupils.

Safer Internet Day - Raising awareness of responsible digital use

On 10 February 2026, on the occasion of the Safer Internet Day, The CDI, which initiated the project, welcomed classes 6B and 6E, accompanied by their teachers Mme Sautron and Mme Awina.

This day dedicated to the responsible and civic use of digital technology offered :

  • A thematic table featuring books on the Internet and the media; ;

  • A mini-exhibition open to all students; ;

  • Educational games and activities for cycle 3 pupils.

This action plays a full part in building a responsible and enlightened digital culture.

Many thanks to the CDI and the teachers involved in this wonderful initiative.

Addiction prevention: understanding for better action

As part of our health awareness programme, we were delighted to welcome Dr Mounir Bousaab, an ENT specialist at Harley Street Medical Center, for a talk on addiction prevention.

During this interactive meeting, a number of topics of direct relevance to the daily lives of young people were discussed:

  • Eating habits and fast-food consumption; ;

  • Caffeinated and energy drinks; ;

  • Electronic cigarettes and vaping; ;

  • Understand what addiction is and how to prevent it.

Through practical discussions and a dynamic question-and-answer session, the students were made aware of the risks to their health and encouraged to make responsible choices.

Many thanks to Dr Mounir Bousaab for the quality of his speech, and to our senior education advisers and the teaching team for organising this vital event.

A comprehensive and coherent approach

Health, digital technology, screens, harassment: these initiatives are all part of the same dynamic.

At the Lycée Louis Massignon, our policy of prevention, safety and student well-being is based on three fundamental principles:
- Anticipating
- Raising awareness
- Support

Because a confident student is a student who learns and develops to the full.
