Embodying the future:

6th graders in the International Section inspire young readers

To mark International Women's Rights Day, 6th form students in the British International Section have taken a significant step towards encouraging and inspiring the next generation. In keeping with this year's theme, In their "Accelerating Actions" project, they read to CE2 pupils about great women who have changed the world. - leaders and pioneers who have shaped history through their courage and determination. Through these stories, the youngest pupils discovered extraordinary women such as Marie Curie, Malala Yousafzai, Amelia Earhart and Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, arousing their curiosity and inspiring big dreams. By sharing these inspiring stories, our International Section 6ème pupils have helped to sow the seeds of confidence and ambition in their younger peers, proving that no dream is too big and no goal is out of reach. Together, they are shaping a future where everyone has the chance to rise, lead and inspire!

Portraits of inspiring women :

Golden Women celebration to mark Women's Rights Day

As part of the "Golden women organised by the Middle East Zone, students from 1st C at EMC have put together an exhibition of portraits dedicated to French and Middle Eastern women. These portraits highlight remarkable women for whom statues have been erected in France, as well as emblematic women from the Middle East whose impact and contribution to society are undeniable.

This project is part of a collaborative effort between schools in the Middle East zone, with the idea of sharing these posters to encourage cultural exchanges and inspire our students. The final exhibition took place on Friday 7 March, International Women's Rights Day.

A special moment to celebrate women in gold and their heritage, while raising our students' awareness of the importance of equality and recognition for women throughout the world.

Inspiring the next generation of scientists!

On 11 February, UNESCO celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. As part of the celebrations, the Lycée Louis Massignon hosted the Dr Lama Tarsissi, mathematician and researcher, currently associate professor of mathematics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
A specialist in discrete geometry and dynamical systems, she conducts research on complex subjects such as polyominoes, hypergraphs and algorithms. Committed to the role of women in mathematics, she is also an ambassador for the Committee of Women in Mathematics (CWM) in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.
Her talk to our Year 10 students was a real source of inspiration, particularly for young girls who want to take up a career in science. In a field still largely dominated by men, Dr Tarsissi is proof that women have their place and can excel in the sciences.
Thank you to her for this enriching and motivating exchange!
