On Wednesday 14 May 2025, students in Ms Valérie Sénégas's PSB class had the chance to exchange views via video conference with Ms Rose Christine, a French writer specialising in poetry for children.
After reading her texts in class, the children were able to ask her their questions. She even enthusiastically sang them a nursery rhyme from her new project: "Nursery rhymes for learning".
ATSEM by profession, passionate about children and the French language, she draws her inspiration from her everyday life. Her first poem, Bazar bizarre, was born from a simple treasure box placed on her desk during the little ones' siesta...
Her world? A farandole of crazy, modern and tender ideas:
Who prefers pixels to washing up? Who works in secret in the attic? Who scares the neighbours? These astonishing characters open the door to the imagination, in a gentle way.
A valuable resource for teachers and a step towards poetry for the very young.
The texts are printed in a font suitable for dyslexic readers - a priority for the author.
A big thank you to Rose Christine for a wonderful chat!
