As part of the Mathematics Weekstudents from 6th and CM2 took part in a fun, interactive activity organised by the school's maths teachers. Under the theme "Maths Outside the WallsThis activity took place in the school playground, where the students measured the basketball court in the playground to discover the concepts of perimeter and area.
The students were first given explanations and then divided into mixed teams to take measurements in the field. After collecting the data, they pooled their results and made the calculations.
This experience outside the classroom enabled the pupils to understand the importance of mathematics in everyday life. Many thanks to the CM2 teachers and the maths teachers at the collège for their collaboration on this enriching project!
