On 11 December, the cricket stadium was alive with rugby, as no fewer than 280 pupils from CM1 and CM2 classes came together for a rugby tag tournament. Rugby tag consists of removing a tag - a small ribbon attached to the waist - to symbolise a tackle. The pupils were able to play in complete safety.
This tournament is the culmination of several weeks of training and practice, which have highlighted the fundamental values of rugby: mutual aid, solidarity and respect for the rules.
Many thanks to the students for their enthusiasm and active participation, as well as to the teachers, chaperones, young coaches and referees, and to the director, Mr William Ribas, Ms Hajer Hajii and Ms Isabelle Moriou, who all contributed to the success of the day.
A huge thank you toEFRthe Abu Dhabi Rugby Sports Association, which made its equipment available.
