Semaine du Goût: a festival of aromas and flavours at LLM

Lycée Louis Massignon Taste Week
During the week of 14 to 18 October, the Lycée Louis Massignon celebrated Taste Week, an annual event that gives our students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of gastronomy through a variety of culinary workshops. It's an ideal opportunity to develop their creativity in the kitchen and encourage teamwork, while exploring the cuisine of the world. Students awaken their curiosity by discovering a variety of flavours and learning about the culinary traditions of the different cultures represented at LLM!

Flavours and learning in CM2B

Ms Moriou's class took part in this culinary adventure by concocting delicious sweet and savoury recipes. Under the watchful eye of their teacher, our little chefs learnt how to prepare fruit and vegetables, mix ingredients and cook their dishes. The morning ended with a tasty tasting of their creations, an experience that delighted everyone's taste buds!

The 4th graders in the kitchen!

As part of Taste Week, all the CM1 classes organised culinary workshops. We followed the pupils in Anissa Azouz's CM1E class and Laurence Bourdareau's CM1F class.
The pupils got down to work by discovering different recipes, learning to mix flavours and textures while having fun.
It was a great opportunity to develop their culinary skills while celebrating the importance of healthy, balanced eating.

Taste Week in Arabic: have fun learning Arabic! ✨🌍

Our Arabic-speaking students have had the opportunity to prepare some delicious dishes as part of their ESL or EFL lessons. Thanks to their teachers, they have learned the names of the ingredients, the quantities and even how to read recipes in Arabic!
The result? Magnificent chickpea salads and delicious yoghurt and granola snacks.
These fun workshops are not just a way to learn the language, but also to develop culinary skills and discover new flavours.
